Biography

Current Duties: Attending Cardiologist, Foothills Hospital, Rockyview General Hospital, and South Health Campus. Medical Program Director, TotalCardiology Rehabilitation. Deputy Chief of Cardiology, AHS Calgary Zone. Area Council Cardiology Co-Chair, Connect Care. Former Medical Director of the TotalCardiology as well as the RGH Heart Function Clinics. Dr. Aggarwal graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School. He then completed a four year General Internal Medicine fellowship at the University of Toronto (3 yrs) and Queens(1yr). Dr. Aggarwal practiced as a General Internist for one year before beginning his Cardiology training at the University of Calgary. He subsequently was at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute for his fellowship in Echocardiography.

Research Area

Dr. Aggarwal specializes in cardiac and carotid ultrasound, cardiac rehabilitation and has a special interest in heart failure and medical informatics. His research is focused in cardiac rehabilitation.
